'Clearing the Air' & Other Upcoming Podcasts

In a forthcoming American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine podcast, AJRCCM Deputy Editor G.R. Scott Budinger, MD, interviews Kent Pinkerton, PhD, and C. Arden Pope, PhD, about existing ozone standards in the United States. Dr. Pinkerton, who is professor of medicine at the University of California, Davis, co-authored an editorial in the January 1 AJRCCM entitled “Clearing the Air” with UCSD colleague John Balmes, MD.

In another upcoming podcast, editorial board member David Kaufman, MD, focuses on occupational silicosis and globalization in an interview stemming from an editorial that appeared in the December 15 issue of the AJRCCM. The podcast, which features Andrew Ghio, MD, and Professor Tolga Koker, poses the question of whether this is a preventable recurring tragedy.
