Reminder to ATS 2012 Faculty to Submit COI Declaration

ATS members who plan to serve as presenters or session chairs at ATS 2012 are reminded that the deadline for online disclosure of potential conflicts of interest (COI) relevant to their role at the International Conference is January 31, 2012.

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education requires the ATS to obtain declarations from all conference faculty members and to review and manage any disclosures before conference content is finalized. The deadline for declarations falls early this year to allow the Society additional review time.

The ATS sent faculty members e-mails in December 2011 with instructions on how to access the ATS COI SMART Web site, https://thoracic.coi-smart.com, to complete their disclosures. Log-in requires an ATS-supplied user ID (for members, this is typically your ATS member ID) and a self-determined password. The log-in page offers a quick reference card that users can download as an aid.
