SOTA 2012 Focuses on Society's Three Pillars
If you are a busy practitioner who needs the latest information in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, join the ATS in Dallas from March 1 to 4, 2012, for the Society’s 17th Annual State of the Art Course (SOTA). The ATS has once again designated the course for approximately 30 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
“SOTA will promote best practices by presenting clinically oriented physicians from around the world with the latest advances in specific content areas,” said Jesse Hall, MD, of the University of Chicago, who will co-direct the course with Gregory Schmidt, MD, of the University of Iowa. “To ensure that attendees have the opportunity to talk with faculty members one-on-one, the program will combine traditional lectures with meet-the-professor seminars during which participants can discuss specific cases and clinical challenges.”
Although the ATS is in the process of finalizing topics and securing faculty members, below is a preliminary list of presentations and speakers. The Society continues to add content, so please check the ATS Web site regularly for updates at www.thoracic.org/go/sota. And remember, those who register for SOTA by Friday, January 20, 2012, can do so at the discounted “early bird” rate.
For more information about the 2012 SOTA program, please contact Barbara Horner, senior manager of ATS educational products and programs, at 212.315.8693 or bhorner@thoracic.org.
