Eric Yaeger, MD, Named 2012 ATS Outstanding Clinician

Eric Yaeger, MD, will be recognized for his substantial contributions to the clinical care of patients with lung disease and will receive the 2012 Outstanding Clinician Award (OCA) during a special awards ceremony at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, May 20, during the 2012 International Conference in San Francisco. Dr. Yaeger is a preeminent pulmonary physician in Colorado and has served since 1995 as the medical director of Kindred Hospital Denver, a chronic ventilator hospital, where he has improved the lives of his patients with respiratory diseases, critical illness, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
Dr. Yaeger was nominated for the national OCA award by the Colorado Thoracic Society, which also selected him as the 2012 recipient of the chapter Outstanding Clinician Award.
Also receiving thoracic society chapter Outstanding Clinician Awards will be Allen R. Thomas, MD, of the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and Arizona Thoracic Society Chapter; and Mitchell C. Rashkin, MD, of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and Ohio Thoracic Society Chapter.
Drs. Yaeger, Thomas, and Rashkin will be recognized at the ATS Clinicians Center, located in the Exhibit Hall at the International Conference.
