In September, Chris Hughes joined the ATS Government Relations Office in Washington, D.C., as its office manager. Prior to becoming an ATS staff member, Mr. Hughes served as manager of government relations at the American Iron and Steel Institute, where he was involved in administration, ethics compliance, grassroots initiatives and Web site management. After completing his undergraduate work at Florida State University in 2006, he began his career in government relations first as an associate with the Loeffler Group in Washington, D.C., and later as special assistant to the National Finance Director of John McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008.
