ATS Serves as Case Study at HCEA Meeting

In June, Stacy Blackshaw, CEM, associate director of ATS corporate alliances and development, spoke at the Healthcare Convention Exhibitors Association’s annual meeting about the importance of having objective third-party organizations audit healthcare conferences. At a session called “Partnering with Healthcare Exhibitors Through Transparency: A Real-World Case Study,” Ms. Blackshaw talked about how the ATS was the first healthcare organization to provide exhibitors with audited data from its annual International Conference.
Since 2010, BPA has validated the total verified attendance, as well as demographic and geographic profiles of attendees for the conference. The audit is completed according to Exhibition and Event Industry Audit Commission (EEIAC) standards for the U.S. trade show industry. The attendance and demographic data gathered through pre-show and on-site registration provide real value to healthcare exhibitors and corporate supporters, depending on their strategic reasons for investing in a healthcare convention.
