Deadline Extended: Ziskind Clinical Research Scholar Award

There is still time to nominate someone for the Ziskind Clinical Research Scholar Award!

The Ziskind Clinical Research Scholar Award is an ATS Foundation award that honors pulmonary and critical care fellows engaged in clinical research. To be considered for the Ziskind Clinical Research Scholar Award (a one-time award of $500), applicants must first be nominated by a faculty mentor, division director, program director, or asso­ciate program director.

David Warburton, MD, ATSF, of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles will conduct a live webinar presentation of LungMAP-Fantastic Voyage. Participants will take a virtual trek through reconstructions of the pediatric lung using 3D MicroCT/Microscopy Volume Renderer (3D MMVR), a new visualization tool.

The Educational Consulting Service provides coaching, mentoring, and consulting to all members of the ATS community to improve both the content and delivery of a wide range of educational sessions.

If you are looking for tips, feedback, or advice for presentations at ATS 2019 or even proposals for ATS 2020, the Educational Consulting Service can help. Consultants have open office hours at the Center for Career Development (Hall B, Level 2) on Sunday, May 19 between 9 a.m. and 11 am.  If you can’t make that time, you can also sign up to request a one-on-one coaching session. You will be matched with a consultant who will contact you to arrange a meeting onsite.

In the latest episode of Red in Motion, we highlight the major findings of Ke Ni and colleagues’ paper, “PD-1/PD-L1 Pathway Mediates the Alleviation of Pulmonary Fibrosis by Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Humanized Mice,” published in the June 2018 issue of the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology.

This limited-time policy began on Jan. 1, 2019 and will remain in effect throughout the year, ending on Dec. 31, 2019.
