2022-2027 Strategic Plan for the NIH Center for Scientific Review
The American Thoracic Society submitted comments on the National Institutes of Health Center for Scientific Review (CSR) draft strategic plan. The CSR’s draft five-year plan for 2022-2027 will serve as the roadmap for CSR to advance its mission to ensure that NIH grant applications receive fair, independent, expert, and timely scientific reviews, free from inappropriate influences, so that the agency can fund the most promising research. The ATS’s draft recommendations address diversity and fairness as well as more standardized training, including implicit bias among reviewers and chairs.
