Congratulations Irina Petrache, MD, ATSF winner of the 2021 ATS Secretary-Treasurer election!
Dr. Petrache is professor of medicine at National Jewish Health, as well as chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, and holds an appointment as professor in the Department of Medicine and the Pharmacology Graduate Program, University of Colorado, Denver.
Dr. Petrache’s vision for the ATS is that it be the most trusted and progressive respiratory society in the world, closely connected with and responsive to its membership needs. She believes that a strategy that addresses short- and long-term goals of the organization with continued input from members, commitment to diversity, and full dedication to foster the next generation of expert clinicians, educators, and scientists in the field, are essential elements towards achieving this vision.
