Congratulations M. Patricia Rivera, MD, ATSF, Elected ATS Secretary-Treasurer!
M. Patricia Rivera, MD, ATSF, is a professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Her vision for the ATS includes developing strategies to engage domestic and international members in health initiatives and advocacy efforts that address the needs of patients and health care providers in the increasingly complex health care environment. She also prioritizes mentoring the future leaders in the field, as well as continuing to work toward making the ATS as inclusive and diverse as possible.
Dr. Rivera will not only serve as secretary-treasurer during the 2020–21 term, but also as president in 2023–24.

Publication of ATS 2020 Accepted Abstracts
Following the cancellation of the ATS 2020 International Conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ATS will be moving ahead with the publication of all abstracts accepted for presentation at ATS 2020. The full abstract, its presenting authors, and co-authors, will be available on the Online Program Itinerary on April 1 and published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine on May 1. Abstract presenters will also be able to supply a poster-layout of the research outlined in the abstract through the ATS ePoster site. More information on preparing and uploading ePosters will be sent to abstract presenters in the coming weeks.
