2022 Respiratory Innovation Summit

Hosted by the American Thoracic Society, the 2022 Respiratory Innovation Summit will unite the innovators, investors, clinicians and advocacy groups who are leading the charge to create powerful new treatments for deadly and debilitating diseases of the lungs and airways.

Two New Trials Listed on ATS Clinical Trial Resources Site

Two new currently recruiting trials by Sanofi were listed on the ATS Clinical Trial Resources page. The goal of this page is to connect the ATS community to current, ongoing clinical trials in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine being conducted by participating pharmaceutical and device companies.

AERIFY 1 (EFC16750) is a clinical research study for former smoker patients with moderate to very severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), to evaluate an injectable investigational study drug. The study will enroll approximately 186 patients with COPD in approximately 47 study centers throughout the United States.

AERIFY 2 (EFC16819) is a clinical research study for former smoker patients with moderate to very severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), to evaluate an injectable investigational study drug. The study will enroll approximately 279 patients with COPD in  approximately 86 study centers throughout the United States and Canada.

Call for Papers: ATS Scholar Special Collection on Global Education in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine

ATS Scholar is planning a special themed collection, focusing on education across the world. We are seeking manuscripts focused on education of learners at all levels in health professions education as well as those addressing continuing education.

ATS Scholar invites original research, review articles, innovations, and video submissions for consideration. “View from the Learner” commentaries from trainees are also encouraged. If you have questions regarding a potential submission, please contact Nitin Seam, MD, editor-in-chief.
Submissions are due by June 30, 2022 and should mention the special themed collection at the beginning of the cover letter. Please contact Jen Stinnett with any questions about formatting.
