Deadline Approaching: ATS Foundation Research Program 2018-2019 Grant Cycle

2018 Walking Challenge Results

Teva will donate $50,000.00 to the ATS Foundation to fund research awards as a result of the second annual ATS Walking Challenge, held at ATS 2018 in San Diego. For each challenge participant who walked 30,000 steps during the Challenge, Teva will donate $100 to the Foundation, up to $50,000. Challenge participants walked a total of 32,930,319 steps, and by the end of the challenge, 501 participants had completed 30,000 steps, earning the full donation amount.

 

ATS 2019: Call for Input Now Open

The American Thoracic Society is seeking program proposals for the ATS 2019 International Conference, May 17–22, in Dallas, Texas. This is a great opportunity to share your insights and expertise, and inspire colleagues from around the world at the leading scientific conference in respiratory medicine!

The ATS is accepting input for sessions in all areas of respiratory, critical care, and sleep medicine, with a clinical, basic science, and/or translational focus. All proposals must be submitted online through the ATS Call for Input website.  

Deadline: June 27, 2018 (5 p.m. ET)

2018 Latin American Critical Care Conference

Save the date to join the ATS, the Sociedade Brasileira de Pneumologia e Tisiologia, and Asociación Latinoamericana de Tórax (ALAT) for the  2018 Latin American Critical Care Conference, “Treatment of the Acutely Decompensating Patient: Best Practices for Mechanical Ventilation,” this September in São Paulo, Brazil.

Presenters include Marcelo Amato, MD; Laurent Brouchard, MD, HDR; Trish Kritek, MD, EDM; Bob Kacmarek, PhD, RRT; and Carmen Barbas, MD, PhD.

ATS 2019 International Conference in Dallas

Beyond the thousands of abstracts and case reports highlighting the newest research, as well as more than 500 sessions, ATS 2018 in San Diego highlighted topics such as practitioner wellness, complete with an interactive booth featuring therapy dogs, and professional growth, in panels that discussed funding acquisition and grant applications.
