ATS Coding and Billing Quarterly
The June issue of the ATS Coding and Billing Quarterly (CBQ) newsletter is now available! This issue covers several topics including coding guidance on how to report treating patients with long haul COVID-19 symptoms; state-based coverage for smoking cessation programs; and member Q&A on PFT interpretation, COVID-19 chart review and medical decision making. Read now!
We would also like to announce that Alan Plummer MD, inaugural editor of the ATS Coding and Billing Quarterly is stepping down after 13 years of service. The concept of the ATS CBQ was developed by the ATS Clinical Practice Committee, approved by the ATS and published initially in 2007. Since that time, it has been nourished by the Advisory Board Members, ATS Clinical Practice Committee members and ATS staff. The ATS members and staff who write and produce the ATS Coding and Billing Newsletter hope the newsletter meets ATS member needs on proper coding, billing and regulatory compliance issues in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.
The ATS is pleased to announce that ATS member Katina Nicolacakis, MD, from the Cleveland Clinic and long-time member of the Clinical Practice Committee has agreed to serve as the new editor of the ATS Coding and Billing Quarterly.
