New! American Thoracic Society Clinical Practice Guideline

New recommendations are available to help guide physicians who must determine when and how to treat infants, children and adolescents with post-prematurity respiratory disease (PPRD).  In, “Outpatient Respiratory Management of Infants, Children, and Adolescents with Post-Prematurity Respiratory Disease: An Official American Thoracic Society Clinical Practice Guideline,” a multidisciplinary panel of experts provide 13 conditional recommendations on the diagnostic testing and clinical management of these young people. The complete guideline detailing these recommendations was posted online ahead of print in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

ATS 2022 Late-Breaking Abstracts

We are now accepting late-breaking scientific abstracts for the ATS 2022 International Conference, May 13‒18, in San Francisco!
Abstracts should report on:

  • Basic, translational, or clinical discoveries in pulmonary, critical care, or sleep medicine.
  • Epidemiologic, social, biobehavioral, or psychosocial investigations.
  • Education or quality improvement projects.

Philip Hopewell Prize for Global Respiratory Health Research

The Philip Hopewell Prize for Global Respiratory Health Research is an ATS global research award in recognition of Dr. Philip Hopewell and his exceptional service to patients and the medical research community worldwide.

Mid-career investigators in low- and middle-income countries will be recognized for their clinical and research commitment, including published research in peer-reviewed journals and commitment to global health policy.

Coming Soon! ATS Health Equity Fellowship

The American Thoracic Society is committed to improving health equity throughout the U.S. To this end, the ATS is pleased accept applications for the 2022 ATS Fellowship in Health Equity and Diversity. This fellowship is designed to support the efforts of senior fellows, post-doctoral students, or junior faculty with research, clinical and policy endeavors to advance health equity for patients with respiratory disease, critical care illness or injury, and sleep disordered breathing.
The ATS Health Equity Fellowship will open on Jan. 14, 2022.
