FDA Issues Advanced Notice of Proposed Rule Making on Liquid Nicotine Warning Labels and Packaging

July 2015

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rule Making seeking community input on whether the FDA should require warning labels and child-proof packaging on liquid nicotine used in e-cigarettes.  FDA is essentially seeking community input on whether liquid nicotine products (and other novel tobacco products) should have warning labels and require child-proof packaging, and if so, what should the warning label and child-proof packaging requirements be.

The ATS is preparing comments in response to FDA's request for input.  The deadline for responding to the FDA request for comment is Friday, August 28, 2015.
