House and Senate Appropriations Bills Include Clean Air Act Riders

In related news, both the House and Senate Appropriations committee have passed their versions of the fiscal year 2016 Interior and Environment Appropriations bill. Both the House and Senate bills include legislative riders that would prevent EPA from moving forward with regulations to reduce ozone emissions and greenhouse gas emissions. The Administration is expected to issue a veto threat for both bills. The ATS is disappointed that both bills include provisions to stop EPA from moving forward with policy which would improve our nation's air quality.
