TB Survivors Advocate in Washington, DC

March 2016

Earlier in the week, a group of 10 TB survivors from across the U.S. came to Capitol Hill to tell their stories to members of Congress and to advocate for increased TB funding. The event was coordinated by Aeras, ATS, Stop TB USA, the National Tuberculosis Controllers Association, RESULTS and other partners. The event marked the first time a group of TB survivors traveled to Washington DC for World TB Day to call for TB funding.  Several of the TB survivors also participated in a briefing in the U.S. Senate on March 23.
