ATS Joins Effort Supporting CDC Chronic Disease Center

Last week, the ATS joined a letter to House and Senate Appropriators in support of increased funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. The letter, signed by over 85 organizations, points out that the Chronic Disease Center, which includes the Office on Smoking and Health and Prevention Research Centers, provides state and local health departments and local partners with resources and expertise to translate evidence-based science advances and tools into community-based programs and real world settings.
