ATS Joins Rally for Medical Research on Capitol Hill Day

On September 14, ATS Washington office staff participated in the annual Rally for Medical Research on Capitol Hill Day. Three hundred health association, research and patient organizations, including the ATS, called on Congress to provide robust long-term funding increases for National Institute of Health funding in meetings with hundreds of congressional offices. ATS staff joined a team of patient advocates from the Hermansky Pudlak Network and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and many other organizations in meetings with members of the Maryland congressional delegation, including Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) and House minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD).
