ATS Joins Physician/Public Health Groups in Support of the CDC Office of Smoking and Health Funding
Last week, the ATS joined over 50 medical and public health groups in a sign-on letter expressing support of funding for the CDC Office of Smoking and Health. The office funds a number of state and national programs intended to reduce the burden of tobacco-caused disease, including state quit lines, public education campaigns and other tobacco prevention and tobacco cessation resources.
President Trump’s proposed budget had zeroed out funding for the CDC Office of Smoking and Health.
