ATS Leads Medical Organization Sign-on Letter Opposing Tobacco Riders
This week, the ATS lead over 12 physician organizations in a sign-on letter to House and Senate appropriators urging them to reject any amendments that would weaken or delay the FDA’s authority to regulate all tobacco products. While addressing the need for broader regulation, the letter focuses on the known and suspected adverse health effects of e-cigarettes and the need to develop effective regulations for e-cigarette products.
