House Holds Hearings on Juul
This week, the House Oversight and Investigations Committee held two days of hearings on business practices of the e-cigarette maker, Juul. Hearing witnesses discussed how Juul intentionally marketed its products to children and provided evidence of Juul sponsoring youth “anti-addiction education” programs in several charter schools that promoted the e-cigarette products directly to students. The hearing also shared the experiences of youth e-cigarette users and their parents, who were impacted by youth e-cigarette nicotine addiction.
