Illinois Passes Tobacco 21 Law
Earlier this month, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker signed into law legislation that raises to 21 the legal purchase age for e-cigarettes, cigarettes and other tobacco products. Illinois became the 8th state to enact a state-wide 21 age limit and is the first state in the Midwest to enact tobacco 21 legislation. The law takes effect on July 1, 2019.
