ATS Testifies on EPA final Particulate Matter Pollution Rule

This week, the ATS spoke at a public forum expressing concerns with the Administrator’s decision to retain the current EPA National Ambient Air Quality Standard for particulate matter. Despite significant evidence showing mortality effects at long-term exposures to levels as low as 6 ug/m3, the EPA has decided to retain the current standards. ATS has recommended an annual standard of 8 ug/m3 and a 24-hour standard of 25 ug/m3.
