CDC Issues New COVID Guidance – For First Time Recommends Universal Mask Use
The CDC issued revised guidance on steps individuals, communities and elected officials can take to stop the spread of COVID-19. For the first time, CDC is officially recommending universal mask use indoors (except for families in their own home). The CDC also released a one-page document with lay-friendly recommendations on how the public can stop the COVID-19 transmission.
In related news, ATS President Juan Celedon MD, DrPH has sent a letter to the governors of states that have not yet implemented mask policies, urging them to quickly adopt and enforce universal mask use outside the home.
