Emergency Measure for Coronavirus Response Enacted
Today, President Trump signed into law legislation passed by Congress by broad bipartisan margins that provides $8.3 billion in emergency spending to respond to coronavirus. The emergency spending law will provide more than $3 billion for research and development of vaccines and treatments; $2.2 billion for CDC and state public health departments preparedness and response, including by advancing testing capabilities for coronavirus; and nearly $1 billion to procure medical supplies and drugs.
