Trump Administration Drops International Online Education Policy

This week, the Trump Administration rescinded a policy that would have forced foreign students out of the country if their universities were offering only online classes.  The ATS had joined several other medical and academic organizations expressing concern with how the proposed policy would impact work in the scientific and academic community.  The broad-based concerns expressed by universities, businesses and immigration advocates forced the administration to rethink the policy, and ultimately cancel the directive.
