ATS Testifies at EPA Public Hearing for More Protective Particulate Matter Standard

This week, ATS members Kevin Cromar, PhD, and Nicholas Nassikas, MD, testified before the EPA Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee, urging the advisory panel to adopt a more protective particulate matter National Ambient Air Quality Standard of 8 μg/m3 annual and 25 μg/m3  daily standard. EPA is considering revising the current standard of 12 μg/m3 annual and 35 μg/m3 daily. In their comments, Dr. Cromar and Dr. Nassikas noted the available sciences shows adverse health effects at exposures below the current standard.
