ATS Urges an Increase in Fiscal Year 2023 Tobacco Control Programs
Even as Congress is trying to complete fiscal year 2022 spending, the Biden Administration is working on fiscal year 2023 budget priorities. The ATS joined a letter with over 60 medical and public health organizations to the Biden Administration urging continued increased investments in tobacco control and tobacco cessation programs. The letter outlined key initiatives within the Department of Health and Human Services, including CDC, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Plan to prevent tobacco initiation and to improve tobacco cessation.
