ATS Urges Congress to Provide Funding for Electric School Buses
This week, the ATS joined over 100 medical, public health and local organizations in a letter to congressional leaders, urging them to provide funding for the purchase and installation of electric school buses and the accompanying charge infrastructure. The letter notes that school buses are a significant source of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions which expose over 25 million school aged children to air pollution daily. The letter notes that zero emission electric buses are currently available from U.S. manufacturers and, if used widely, would reduce both air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
