ATS Urges G20 Nations to Invest in TB Vaccine Research
The American Thoracic Society has signed onto a letter from TB Vax ARM to G20 Finance and Health Ministers in advance of the G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministers meeting to be held on Oct. 27, 2021. The letter expounds on existing ATS priorities regarding TB and calls on G20 ministers to uphold global commitments to end TB by 2030 by providing an annual investment of US$1 billion to ensure a fully funded and resourced TB vaccine pipeline by 2023 so that new TB vaccines are possible as early as 2025.
