ATS Washington Office Welcomes New Staff Member – Valerie Adelson

The ATS is pleased to announce that Valerie A. Adelson, MHA, BSN, RN, has joined the ATS staff in the Washington Office as the Associate Director, Government Relations. Valerie recently served as a Senior Consultant with Federal Compliance Consulting, LLC, a law and consulting practice.

Valerie has 35 years of experience as a clinical nurse, lobbyist, policy analyst and advocate for a myriad of national professional and trade associations.  In her career, she has represented diverse constituencies on complex health care and public health matters to members of Congress, federal and state government agencies, and before national conferences. 

Valerie was awarded her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and received her Master of Health Administration from the Sloan Program in Health Administration, Cornell University.  Valerie is a Registered Nurse and has clinical experience with several hospitals, including the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center (Bethesda, Maryland), Sibley Memorial Hospital (Washington, D.C.), and Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children (Dublin, Ireland).
