EPA Dismisses Trump Appointed Members
This month, the Environmental Protection Agency dismissed all members of the EPA Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) and the EPA Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) – effectively removing all the Trump-appointed members to these two influential outside panels. Both panels provide outside expertise to the agency and help shape EPA science and regulatory policy. CASAC is particularly influential in helping EPA set air quality standards for particulate matter, ozone and other criteria pollutants.
The ATS will recommend several well-qualified ATS members to serve on both the EPA Science Advisory Board and the EPA Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee.
