HHS Extends COVID Public Health Emergency 90-Days
This week, Health and Human Services Secretary Becerra extended the COVID Public Health Emergency for another 90-days. The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency was originally issued on January 27, 2020 and has been renewed 7 times since its inception. The Public Health Emergency allows the Secretary to implement certain policies – such as extensive use of telehealth services or virtual supervision of services – that would be prohibited under normal circumstances.

It is expected that further Public Health Emergency extensions will be issued in near future.
